Experiência negativa: Deixo aqui um cancelamento/reclamação que fiz por não ter tido resposta por parte do Clube Nacional de Natação (enviado originalmente por email): "Boa tarde, Venho por este meio cancelar a minha sociedade convosco principalmente pela razão abaixo: No passado sábado, dia 3 de Maio, a minha filha teve a aula das 10:20 com uma professora que não é a habitual. A professora não deve ter tido a noção que cada um dos meninos tem um nível de aprendizagem na água diferente uns dos outros e a minha filha ainda não está à vontade. Houve uma situação em que ficou aflita e desamparada sem nenhum dos responsáveis ter reparado (estava também presente um rapaz a dar apoio à professora). A minha filha entrou no balneário a chorar e não estava presente a professora para que eu pudesse falar com ela (a professora habitual costuma sempre ir levar os meninos). Experiência fantástica: I had a great experience. The day pass cost 10 euros and as I was traveling I had forgotten a swim cap. The staff were kind enough to let me borrow one for my visit. The pool was a comfortable temperature for swimming laps and was nice and quiet. I highly recommend choosing this swim centre if you are traveling and would like to squeeze in a swim.

Experiência fantástica: I play Padel here and it’s great because it’s in a great part of the city and all the amenities are there. A bar /cafe. The showers are pretty good and clean. Padel courts are in good condition.

Facilities are very clean and well ran, pool was excellent and cool. Was undisturbed for a 60 min workout, and had access to my own lane (wasn’t busy).

Experiência negativa: Paguei pela mensalidade de 60€ no dia 13 de Maio para utilizar o clube livremente. No dia 16 fiz um treino e no dia 17 solicitei o cancelamento devido mudança de cidade. Pedi reembolso via e-mail. Uma semana depois e ninguém tinha visto o meu e-mail. Liguei e disseram para aguardar retorno. Estamos no dia 24 e ainda nada. Infelizmente terei que preencher o livro de reclamações e pedir para o meu jurídico ligar para o clube. De forma amigável nada acontece. Incompetência ou má fé? Boa noite.

Experiência fantástica: Excellent pool that allows walk ins for a fee of 10 EUR with no additional paperwork. Required are flip flops, cap, and tight swimwear (briefs, trunks, one piece for women) no board shorts. Bring your own padlock (small) and you will be able to use free lockers. Changing rooms are clean and large, pool has 8 lanes and was not crowded at all (at 3 pm on a week day), water is crystal clear and at a good temperature. No kids in main pool since there is a separate pool for them. This is a proper swimming pool, no hanging out or chat lane. The 10 EUR give you access to pool and changing rooms for 3 hours in off peak hours and for 1 hour on peak hours (after business hours).

Experiência fantástica: 25m pool that is open for swimming lanes (cap is obligatory). We were around 11 and it seems they have lanes available all day to train on your own. Changing rooms are slightly outdated, but the swimming pool is fine.

Entrance fee for non-members is €10,- There is also a monthly pass for around €28,- which allows 5 visits. Bring a small lock for the lockers! Bathing cap might be obligatory (at least almost everyone had one) There are designated lanes you can use during training classes (Saturday morning was probably not the smartest time to go swimming, but it still worked out well and my lane wasn't too crowded) Opening hours: mo-fr 7:00-22:00 Sa 8:00-19:00 / So and holidays: 9:00-14:00

Experiência positiva: Rating mostly on accessibility and information on price, opening hours in advance, as i did not get in I called them a few times before they picked up, but finally managed to connect with someone who told me that they are open from 8-20 in august, and confirmed this in response to my question that on their webpage they have different hours. As per the paper on the door, they are open/last entry is til 19:30. And more importantly, only on weekdays in august! So my 4th try at a pool in lisbon in august was a bust again And yes, multiple locals confirmed that 10eur sounds to be way above the average in lisbon, which i would have been ok with to finally have a proper swim Parking: there seems to be a parking complex right next to this sport complex, and also some additional parking spots out front. Bus: i got here by the 727 which drops you off like 2min walk away.

Experiência positiva: I had forgotten the feeling you get from frequenting a private club. It meant that the entry was very expensive. This one looks expansive but I only used the pool. I had my own lane, but the pool was well attended. The change rooms could be a bit cleaner looking in my opinion. But a nice club established in 1919, in the middle of Lisbon.

Experiência positiva: I'll try to write a comprehensive tourist's guide to the pool: This pool is mostly used by the locals and they are at different points on their fitness journey. Don't worry if you're not an Olympian. It's 25m long and comprises of 8 lanes. The shallow end is 1.2m and the deep end is 1.5m. It's an indoor pool with floor-to-ceiling glass wall on one side and it's beautiful when the sun shines in. There is also a small children's pool. Before you head down, please have 1. A swimming cap 2. A small padlock for the lockers When to go down: The least busy time to head down (according to their website) is around 0900-1200H and 1400-1630H on weekdays, and 0800-1000H for Saturdays. I was generally there during those periods but by no means it guarantees a free lane because they run classes there and they do take up a few lanes. Sharing a lane is not a problem: just decide with the other person if you want to split the lane or do a circular style. At the reception: It helps to learn some basic phrases in Portuguese. A greeting is a good starting point. I spoke to the lady at the reception in mangled Portuguese but she warmed up to me eventually after a few visits. Per entry cost is €10. Both card and cash are accepted. There is a far cheaper membership option but one needs a national ID and a local bank account. In the change room: The infrastructure is a little dated but still very functional. Just choose any locker that is unoccupied. This is where your little padlock comes in. Swimwear: For guys, I've seen Speedos, boxer style and longer above-knee trunks. No, I didn't observe any board shorts For ladies, I've only seen one-piece swimsuits Swimming adjuncts: I've observed short fins, snorkles, hand paddles, swim boards and pool buoys being used I hope that covers most of the common enquiries and that this lengthy review is helpful.

Experiência positiva: Excellent 8 lane, high wall, 25 metre pool which is clean, bright from natural light and quite warm at 30C. There is also a 2 lane 17 metre pool for children. Locker rooms are spacious, clean and quaint in an old world way. Swimming cap compulsory. A padlock (not provided) is required to secure the locker doors. Thoroughly recommended in spite of the price of €10/swim (2019). The pool is located about 400 metres up Rua Sao Bento from the Assembleia da Republica and is set back a way from the main road. The swim before work crowd are there until about 9am but it's usually still possible get a lane or share with one other. Seemed to be quiet from 9-10 in the morning.

Would be good for a premium gym to have a water cooler and some lockers upstairs for clients convenience. Gym staff during the week are friendly and the workout space is clean. Morning reception not very helpful usually.
